When a business decides on a new website, it often doesn't know which type to choose. The result is either an overpriced site full of features nobody uses, or a site that isn't enough. Here is how to find your way.

Business card site: when people need to find and contact you

Ideal for tradespeople, services, consultants and small shops, anyone who simply needs customers to find them on Google, see what they do and call or write.

  • an introduction to your business and services,
  • examples of your work or photos,
  • contact details, a map and opening hours,
  • a contact form or a WhatsApp button.

It is quick to build and the most affordable. For many businesses it offers the best value.

Company website: when you have a lot to show

Multiple pages make sense if you have several services, a long price list, references or want to post news. Think salons, restaurants, accommodation, construction firms or offices. More content also means more chances of being found on Google.

Online store: when you want to sell online

If you sell products, an online store lets you sell even while you sleep. Customers choose a product, pay by card and you receive the order by email. A store needs shipping, a payment gateway, terms and conditions and product management, so it is more involved.

Custom web app: bookings, memberships, customer accounts

If customers need to book appointments, pay for subscriptions or log in to their own account, you need a custom solution. One example is our project stavkujemespolocne.sk, with Stripe memberships and its own admin panel.

Quick cheat sheet

  • I want to be found and get calls → business card site.
  • I have many services to show → company website.
  • I want to sell products → online store.
  • I want bookings or subscriptions → custom web app.

You don't have to start with the biggest option. A good website can grow: start with a business card site and add bookings or a store later. Not sure? Get in touch and we'll advise you, or estimate the price in our calculator.
